Faheem Rasheed Najm, better known as T-Pain, was born in Tallahassee, Florida, on September 30, 1985. His stage name is an abbreviation for Tallahassee Pain, which he picked due to the difficulties he faced growing up there.

In 2003, he wed Amber Najm. They are parents of three kids. On March 27, 2009, T-Pain was hurt in a golf car accident. He was supposed to film the “Download” music video for Lil’ Kim.
