One year after being diagnosed with MS, Christina Applegate sobs during her speech at the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony.

Making her first public appearance after disclosing her multiple sclerosis diagnosis, Christina Applegate stated her kid is “my everything” (MS).

On Monday, the actress, who is best known for her work in the Anchorman movies and the Netflix comedy Dead To Me, received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles.

During a brief award speech in which she thanked her friends and family for their support as she battled the sickness, she grew visibly upset.

In August 2021, while she was filming the third and final season of Dead To Me, Applegate tweeted about being diagnosed with MS.

I’ve lived a tremendously fascinating life… She stated at the ceremony on Monday, adding that she couldn’t “stand for long,” “this day means more to me than anyone could ever know.

“To me, my daughter is the most important person in the world,” Christina said in her closing statement.

“You are far more than you realize. You are so lovely, sweet, astute, and fascinating.

“I consider it a blessing that I get to wake up and drive you to school every day. You are everything to me. I appreciate you supporting me during this whole thing.

Applegate told the throng of admirers on the well-known Hollywood boulevard that they were “beautiful” and added, “I love you so much.”

In August 2021, she announced the news of her MS diagnosis and called it “a strange path.”

“Hello, friends. A few months ago, I was given an MS diagnosis. It’s been a strange journey,” she said at the time in a blog post.

But the people I know who also struggle with this issue have been really supportive of me. The journey has not been simple.

“However, as we all know, the journey continues. Unless a scumbag blocks it.

Although the actress had her television debut in 1972 with her mother in the soap opera Days of Our Lives, it was her role as Kelly Bundy on the enduring Fox television series Married with Children that catapulted her to popularity.

She increased her popularity on television by starring in her own NBC comedy series, Jesse, for which she was nominated for a 1999 Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a TV Series, Comedy or Musical and won the People’s Choice Award for Favorite Female Performer in a New Television Series.

In 2004, she also made a special appearance on the television show Friends as Amy, Rachel’s younger sister (played by Jennifer Aniston).

She was nominated for an extra award the following year for her performance, which garnered her an Emmy Award in the category of Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series.

Along with Liz Feldman, the show’s creator, David Faustino from Married With Children, and Katey Sagal from Dead to Me, Applegate was joined by a number of her tv co-stars.

In comedies like Anchorman, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, Hall Pass, The Sweetest Thing, View From the Top, and the cult classic Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead, she has a number of parts.

Along with being a successful actress, Applegate established the Right Action for Women (RAW) support program in 2009.

In its ten-year existence, the program, which was designed to provide financial support for breast cancer screenings, has helped over 1,000 patients and disbursed nearly $1 million (£850,000) in financial aid.

She received the 2,740th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which was given out in the category of television.

It can be found at 7007 Hollywood Boulevard, opposite the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.
