The spotlight is being shared by Simon Cowell and his son!

The 62-year-old TV star walked the red carpet with his fiance Lauren Silverman and their 8-year-old son Eric ahead of Tuesday night’s America’s Got Talent season 17 finale.

On the carpet, the three of them posed for pictures. In one of the adorable shots, Cowell is seen gesturing to his son.

Eric dressed in a blue polo, slacks, and Nike sneakers for the momentous occasion, while his father donned his customary plain black t-shirt. In a dark red one-shoulder dress with a side cutaway, Silverman looked stylish.

Last year, Cowell talked openly about how becoming a dad altered the course of his life during an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show.

The show’s host, Kelly Clarkson, felt it was wonderful that the infamously scathing reviewer was co-writing a series of picture books with his little kid about imaginary animals.

According to Deadline, the father-and-son team revealed in February 2020 that they had signed a publishing agreement with Hachette Children’s Group for a Wishfits seven-book series about these “wonderful and strange” creatures.

Cowell praised the initiative and remarked, “It’s been great.” “I never imagined that I would act in this way.”

“I adore it. That’s why I find the contrast of you doing this to be so wonderful. After laughing, Clarkson clarified, “I believe the vulnerable little side of you came out when you had a baby. You’re like a different person without a kid.”

Maybe, Cowell responded. “I truly believed, Kelly, that I would never experience that type of love for anyone else again after I lost my parents. Until I first saw the scan of him, I believed that was all there was to it.”
