They recorded an album, but Epic did not promote it, and it finally perished. It was never made public.
After this failure, Simmons and Paul set out to create “the band that would rule the world.” After viewing his advertising in Rolling Stone magazine, they requested drummer Peter Criss to join them. Guitarist Paul Frehley would shortly join them (aka Ace Frehley).
The stage was prepared for “Kiss” to conquer the world. They performed their debut concert after five months of preparation. They decided to try on some make-up before the performance.
Because they thought the make-up made them seem too feminine, they decided to use it as a kind of art.
