Career
Kelly began her government career as a legislative aide to Assemblyman David C. Russo, subsequently rising to the position of chief of staff to Russo.
Kelly was appointed as Governor Chris Christie’s director of legislative relations in 2010. Christie selected her as his deputy chief of staff in April 2013.
Kelly was found guilty of her role in the “Bridgegate” scandal on November 4, 2016. On March 29, 2017, she was sentenced to 18 months in jail (later reduced to 13 months).
