It’s taking place! The Genovian Princess will return! There are numerous rumors that the third “Princess Diaries” chapter is in the works.
The first two portions of the plot, which were released in 2001 and 2004, will be continued in the script, which was written by Supergirl author Aadrita Mukerji. Julie Andrews and Anne Hathaway played key roles in the movie.
The cast of the movie has not yet been revealed, and it is unknown if Anne Hathaway will reprise her role as the title character in the third installment. The actress’s fame skyrocketed in 2001 after the first movie’s box office triumph.
Even so, Hathaway has stated in several interviews over the years that she would like to participate in the sequel if it were to be produced. In October 2022, Hathaway told Entertainment Tonight, “I would more than entertain it; I’m pulling for it.”

In the 2001 movie, Hathaway plays Mia Thermopolis, a high school student who discovers that she is the next in line for the throne of a fictional nation named Genovia. Her grandma, played by Julie Andrews, is in charge of helping Mia get ready for her new job.
Mandy Moore, Sandra Oh, and Heather Matarazzo were also included in the movie, which was based on a series of Meg Cabot novels.
The second movie, which was released in 2004, included a marriage between Chris Pine’s character and Anne Hathaway.
According to rumors, Hathaway will instruct her kid in princess manners in the third installment.
