Charles III, Queen Elizabeth’s Eldest Son
King Charles III ascends to the throne in an uncertain time for both his nation and the monarchy, having spent the majority of his 73 years training for the position.
Elizabeth was much admired in Britain and her former colonies, but there was also criticism of the institution and the imperial history she stood for.
The monarch and his wife Camilla, the Queen Consort, left Balmoral for London on Friday, his first full day of duties.
He is scheduled to meet with newly appointed Prime Minister Liz Truss and address the country at a time when many Britons are focused on the energy crisis, the rising cost of living, the conflict in Ukraine, and the effects of Brexit.
Queen has Demonstrated to the World How to Serve.
Paying homage to the Queen at the UK Parliament, the former British PM remarked, “Queen showed the world how to live, love, and serve. She was committed to performing her tasks.
She was well-informed and enthralled by politics. She rose to prominence as a stateswoman. When things got difficult, she knew how to keep us going.
She assisted in directing both the country and ourselves. Queen served as an example for all of us. She put in a lot of effort for the benefit of the nation. With her passing, we are finally able to appreciate how much she sacrificed for all of us.”
King Charles III Won’t Require a Passport or a Driver’s License.
According to the British Royal website, when traveling abroad, the monarch does not need a British passport because it is granted in her Majesty’s name, making it unnecessary for the King to own one. The ruling monarch also does not need a license or passport.
The Prince of Wales and The Duke of Edinburgh, among the other members, all had their passports.
